AN HERBAL HISTORY LESSON
I LAUGH at the herbal products I see in health food stores. It's no wonder people say that herbs don't work, THEY DON'T, at least the junk herbal formulae I see in stores doesn't. One of the reasons some of these herbal formulae available today don't work is because they are herbal antiques. Some of these formulae were actually designed in the civil war era, 150 years ago. They were used to clean the blood and bowels of who knows, Buffalo Bill or Wyatt Earp? This was a very different era. People rode horses and got more exercise, ate less refined foods and had less stress than today. These early American herbal formulae are useless, ineffective and out of place almost 2 centuries later. Many of the most popular herbal formulae sold today were actually created by practicing herbal doctors in the 1930's, l940's, 1950's. That makes these so-called modern herbal formulae still 50 to 70 years old.
The modern herbal formulae, ones designed in the last 10 or 15 years available in stores are plagued with problem. Most of the herbal formulae designers never practiced or ran a clinic because of the hostile political environment in America against alternative healers. Because of this, most are what I call armchair herbalists who never ran a clinic, never saw a patient and just dreamed up the formulae. These herbalists studied in classrooms, not clinics and have no experience in healing real people with real disease and illness. These are bottled herbal theories that they made up in the library studying anatomy and physiology books and then surfing the internet researching different diseases. Many of these herbal CEO'S told me that they first looked up what herbs contain certain chemicals and presto, they created an herbal formula that they think, might possibly, be effective. These modern armchair herbalists have good intentions, their formulae DO NOT WORK and just might send you to the grave.

Here is a short lesson in Herbal Economics: If you buy an herbal product for $30 in a health food store they bought it from a wholesaler for probably $15.00, who probably bought it from the distributor for around $7.50, who bought it from the manufacturer for about $3.75, who made it for about $1.25 total cost of operation (manufacturers usually use at least a multiple of 4) with a net herb cost of say 25% of the product, or about 32 cents. You just paid $30.00 for 32 cents of herbs. That is why I only sell direct to the consumer, I cut out all the middle people.
